City of New Philadelphia General Services

The General Services Department is responsible for providing the best service possible for the maintenance of roads in the City of New Philadelphia.  This includes:

• Paving roads
• Patching potholes
• Tree trimming
• Tree removal
• Mowing
• Leaf collection
• Snow Removal
• Traffic controller maintenance
• Traffic signage
• Pavement markings
• Fleet maintenance

In addition, the General Services Department is responsible for sanitation services including:

• Garbage pickup
• Recycling pickup
• Curbside pickup of lawn waste such as brush, limbs and bushes

Ray Grewell has served as the City of New Philadelphia’s General Services Superintendent since 2014.  He attended Muskingum College and has previous work experience in the field of tree management.  Ray lives in New Philadelphia with his wife and four children.
