FUNCTIONS

- This
position is responsible for all city water related operations
including the water filtration, water distribution and the city
utility billing office. The Water Superintendent reports
directly to the Director of Public Service. A detailed list of
responsibilities and skills required will be discussed during
the interview process. A Class III Water License is preferred.
The successful candidate will have had experience in all phases
of operating a water system. Salary is negotiable but will be
within the appropriated amount for this position in the city
budget.

- REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-
- The
successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma
and a preferred Class III Water License. Experience in
supervising multiple employees and employee locations are a
plus. This would include assigning work duties, complying with
all regulations, timely filing of reports and dealing with the
public concerning disputes over billing or water supply issues.

- ADDITIONAL
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

- The
preferred candidate will also have experience in the following
areas: Budgeting; Human Resource related issues; Collective
Bargaining Agreements; Supervision; Public Relations; Water
Dynamics; and Good Communication Skills.

based upon qualifications, licensure, and experience up to
appropriated levels in city budget.
