Snow Emergency Ordinance 351.18 Reminder

This ordinance specifies that when the National Weather Service determines that the city of New Philadelphia has received two (2) inches of snow accumulation with the prospect for more, that the Mayor can declare a Snow Emergency and prohibit parking on the following designated streets:
 
·         North and South Broadway, both sides
·        East and West High Avenue, both sides
·        Fourth Street NW from its intersection with West High Avenue, both sides
·        Third Street NW from its intersection with West High Avenue
·        Tuscarawas Avenue, both sides
·        Front Avenue, both sides
·        Fair Avenue from its intersection with Beaver Avenue to its intersection with
           Tuscarawas Avenue, both sides
·        Ray Avenue from its intersection with Beaver Avenue to its intersection with
           Tuscarawas Avenue, both sides
·        Beaver Avenue, both sides
·        Wabash to Tuscarawas Avenue
·        Union Avenue from Ray Avenue to the corporation limits
·        All Cul-de-sacs
 
All streets are currently posted with signage designating them as a snow route. If vehicles are not moved, the Chief of Police may order them towed at the owner's expense.

  • Walk-ins welcome Monday through Friday at the New Philadelphia Health Department, 150 East High Avenue.

  • 8:30AM - 11:30AM and 1:30PM - 4:00PM.

  • Please call in ahead to make sure nurse is available for immunizations.

  • $20.00 each.

  • All Medicaid and selected Medicare programs will be billed for eligible recipients.

  • All Medicaid and Medicare cards must be presented for authorization at the time of immunization.

  • Provided by the New Philadelphia City Home Health Program.

 
New Philadelphia City Health Department Expanding
Immunization Program to include Adult Vaccines!
 
Childhood vaccines that have always been offered, but now the New Philadelphia City Health Department is now offering vaccines to Adults.  Adult vaccines offered to adults will include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Mantoux (TB), Meningococcal (Meningitis), MMR, Rabies, Tetanus, Varicella (Chickenpox) and Zostavax (Shingles). 
 
The cost of Childhood Vaccines is $8.00 each.  Adult vaccines costs vary due to the variety of vaccines offered.  To find out more about the vaccines offered or to schedule an appointment, please call the New Philadelphia City Health Department at (330) 364-4491, extension 208.
