NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #2

The City of New Philadelphia intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, a federally-funded program administered by the State. The City may be eligible for approximately $150,000 of PY 2021 CDBG Funding, provided the City meets applicable program requirements. On December 28, 2020, the City conducted its first public hearing to inform citizens about the CDBG program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important program requirements.

Based on both, citizen input and local officials’ assessment of the City’s needs, the City is proposing to undertake the following CDBG activities for PY 2021:

A second public hearing will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, City Hall, 150 East High Avenue, New Philadelphia, Ohio to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the City’s proposed CDBG application, including the proposed activities summarized above, before the City submits its application to the Ohio Development Services Agency.

Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on May 24, 2021 to express their views and comment on the City’s proposed CDBG application.
